I love how some of the same people on this thread mock MSU being in the final-4 of the NIT because "nobody cares" but then rush in to talk smack about fking Tennis.

I haven't said anything about MSU, but I would rather have a men's NCAA tennis title than a men's NIT basketball title without a doubt.

99% of us would rather have an NCAA men's tennis championship over winning the NIT. The NIT is a scrub tournament full of losers who weren't good enough to get into the real thing. An NIT championship is a dubious honor. It's like leading the minors in career home runs.

You talk a big game for a school that has literally never won a national championship in anything. State has the worst athletic program in the SEC, it's the worst school academically in the SEC, and it is located in the worst college town in the worst state in America. But you think you can talk shite about a school that has 43 combined national championships? What we did last year is ten times better than anything your school has accomplished athletically. Mississippi State fans think they have a great baseball program but y'all have never won a national championship in baseball. We have. Your school literally has nothing going for it. Your football program has literally only had 3 ten win seasons in school history. That is so unbelievably pathetic. How can a group of people be so completely inept at everything? Everyone is good at something, unless you're a Mississippi State fan. It's like you people failed to evolve completely or something. We are used to winning national titles in multiple spring sports. We have one again for this year - which is one more than MSU has across their entire athletic department’s 100+ year history.

MSU tennis is currently ranked ahead of you since its so important to you and I believe we are in first place in the conference. I won't start a thread about it though.
