WWE’s NIL program was announced last week following the NCAA’s historic new policy that took effect on July 1, 2021, which has ushered in the NIL era allowing college athletes the ability to monetize their name, image and likeness. The comprehensive program serves to recruit and develop potential future Superstars, and further enhances WWE’s talent development process through collaborative partnerships with college athletes from diverse athletic backgrounds.
All athlete partnerships will feature access to the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., in addition to resources across the organization including brand building, media training, communications, live event promotion, creative writing and community relations. Upon completion of the NIL program, select athletes may earn an exclusive opportunity to be offered a WWE contract.

I saw her post this on IG earlier. Still can't figure out what they will be doing? Actually wrestling or just promoting?

The official WWE picture isn't nearly as good as the ones she posts on social media.
And no, I am not stalking her!

WWE is basically abandoning traditional wrestling scouting of small indie production and has now focused on finding athletes from other sports and convincing them to sign development deals with WWE and hope they can turn them into stars.
This is step one. They are taking D-I athtletes, most from big time programs, snd signing them to NIL deals to raise their profiles so they'll have followings as soon as they get into the wrestling business. They'll probably do a bunch of social media and autograph and live appearance promotions, all while still being active P5 (I'm most cases) athletes.
After college, they'll take them to their training facility and see if they can make it as a wrestler and then get a WWE contract.
The only problem with all of this is, that once WWE gets a hold of them and changes their name to Sammy Sledgehammer or Tanya Tank or some shite, and they have to read bad lines word for word from a script, it's all downhill after that.

Ahh gotcha. I appreciate the explanation. If Riley makes it I may start watching wrestling for the first time since about 1985 or so
