29-0 was nothing compared to getting blasted in the title game.
1) You were favored by a touchdown over Clemson.
2) Saban is the GOAT.
3) You have a generational talent in Tua.
4) You have better talent all over the field than Clemson.
All those advantages, and yet Bama was done scoring and had already lost just a minute into the second quarter. The rest of the nation watched as your players quit and Clemson ran roughshod over you again, and again, and again.
But sure, keep falling back to your 29-0 win over LSU. I'd sure as frick be deflecting to a happier time if my team and coach just got nationally embarrassed, too.

Not to mention LSU is proabably in the same position had they won vs Alabama and lost to A&M. LSU might've gotten the Sugar over the Fiesta, but a two loss LSU doesn't get in over Ohio State or OU or ND or Clemson or the SEC Champ.
On the other hand, Alabama's loss literally couldn't have been any worse. They got pulverized on the biggest stage. AFTER they told everyone they had the greatest football team ever assembled, with the greatest QB of all time.
I almost feel bad for Alabama fans. They were on the cusp of greatness. Instead, the only thing they have to remember 2018 by is a win over 3 loss LSU. Truly, truly heartbreaking.

1. SEC Championship. You almost forgot those existed because it's been so long. lol
2. Iron Bowl because frick Auburn.
3. TSIO and Tennessee too.
4. 29-0 shutout of the best defensive team since ever.
My favorite loss would have to be Clemson because it's the only one.
