That is the reason these shows:
1. make very generic statements. They don't want their primetime show to have anything proven false.
2. They look for and call hundreds of people to get their select few.
3. They ask to find out who is an angry disgruntled player that may want to throw their former team under the bus.
A few OSU alumn are pissed at HBO because HBO spoke with one of their players and asked him who is pissed off enough at OSU to talk to them "candidly"

His whole premise is flawed, the whole thing about selling tickets is bullshite because athletes aren't given tickets. They write names of family members down on a list before the season.
There are players that do this. A friend went to several games this year, including the MNC game, after buying them from a friend on the team. You are correct in that there was no physical ticket, but they can change the name to whoever they want. That being said, I'm 100% sure this goes on at every school.

Shyrone Carey and another player sold their BCS tickets before 2003 game and Saban had to suspend them for that game.

The ticket has to be picked up by the person the player submitted online for that game. They require a photo ID of the person and a signature to pick up the ticket, you are in the stadium by that point. The signature and part of the ticket stub are then attached together and kept for records at AU. He could have left and given his place holder stub to someone but the gate personnel are informed to not let anyone through with just that they must go through the players gate again and try to get in if they need to.
it isn't impossible but very unlikely, AU's ticket system is far stricter than NCAA requirements.

Yeah, what I'm saying is that the player would give the name of my buddy who had already paid him. He'd go up to the gate, show his ID, and go on in. Not really that hard to get around, and not a big deal in my opinion. He was only charging the face value for the tickets because they were extras.

Recruiting is tough business and if you get a bad one (cough: Lester Earl), the ripples, true or not, can affect a program for a long time.

Your friend had to be on the list at the beginning of the season, the list is submitted 2-3 weeks before the season starts so the AD can approve the list.

He wasn't, so there has to be some sort of loophole around this. He'd get offered the tickets 2 or 3 times throughout the year when the player's parents couldn't make the game. If he wanted them, the player would change the name.

Damn dude... You followed Tubs and all his coaches around all day all year? That's impressive because that's the only way you could know this to be a fact.

Tubs cleaned up the booster program at AU. He stopped recruiting players completely that had their hand out, there is a reason we were in on some players then all of a sudden we stopped talking to them. Tubs looked at more film on more players than any other coach in America to my knowledge, I know at that time no other team in the SEC looked at as much film as he did. As mentioned I'm certain some players got handshakes from boosters or fans from time to time but Tubs ran a very clean program. He made it a point to go through and clean up the program to eliminate any possible problems with the NCAA.

Has it been said who Reddick is accusing of giving him money?
