Great coach

Yep. Going on to bigger and better things in the future. Ole Miss fans should take note of how one should handle this.

Hearing that once Weiss has escaped Patrick Bateman and is back in Oxford he won’t be returning to Baton Rouge.

There has been so much false info coming out of Oxford in the last week that I wouldn't put much stock in your info.

Oh really? Answer these then:

- The players wanted Kiffin to stay and coach through the playoffs.
- There was no ultimatum given to assistant coaches
- That Kiffin hadn’t made up his mind until right before the Iron Bowl.
- That somebody tried to run Kiffin off the road while he had a police escort.

Did OM actually double the salaries of staff that stayed in Oxford?

Yes but it wasn’t an annual lump sum. It was intended for the duration of the playoffs from my understanding.

Tulane?

If so, he is probably an SEC HC in three years.

Only if he wants to defend a breach of contract lawsuit! He has had to sign a MOU and possibly his contract with LSU before they LET HIM go back to OM for their brief appearance in the playoffs.

The timeline has been 2, I’ll take 3. Lane gets a NFL job and Blake is hired as HC

Didn't want to honor your head coaches contract but now the MOU's are iron clad

Hey, Saban wanted to try the NFL (even he admits it was a wrong decision). And even he admitted to Sexton all those years ago he wanted to be Bear Bryant, not Vince Lombardi. But these are head coaches man. He had coached at ever level but NFL HC. Dude wanted to try it. Yeah it hurt at first but the more i watch football the more i get it. These dudes want to test themselves at the highest level at the sport.

Its why Kiffin left for LSU. You think Kiffin wasn't looking at Brian Kelly like "You idiot, how did you mess that up? All you had to do was TRY! Even Orgeron won a title.... shite I could make LSU a dynasty!".

And then Kiffin moves on. Because for some of these dudes it's about the next challenge. You get as far as you can go and go find the next thing. Or hell maybe this is the last thing if it goes Saban well. Who knows with these dudes. Just enjoy the time while its there. #geaux
