Why could someone who ran all over Auburn and Georgia who actually had a good rushing defense not be able to do anything against a sack of shite defense like Arkansas?

1) UGA and Auburn were middle of the pack Rush Defenses last year.

2)Michael Smith had more yards in the Auburn game anyway.

3) For probably the 3 toughest SEC teams, for each both Ark and LSU, to play last year (Florida, Ole Miss, Bama)

Michael Smith = 353 yards (6.09 yards/carry)
Charles Scott = 137 yards (2.98 yards/carry)

Way to show up for the big games CS

So Arky didn't stack the box considering LSU was starting a true freshman for the first time?

This fricking board is awesome today.

Using that Logic:

LSU should have been playing a Nickle defense considering we had a upperclassman QB (for 1 half) and a freshman RB....?

But yet the true freshman RB torched yall, and Casey Dick wasnt too shabby either...good logic there

Yeah, it is going to be a very hard to predict season. Bama and LSU are in fairly similar positions, imo.

I agree. There are just alot of questions on offense for us. It could go either way really.

I was just responding to the person who said that Charles Scott "ran all over" Auburn by saying that Michael Smith had more yards.

In total, there is a 0.39 difference in yards/touch in the Auburn game comparison.

Keiland Williams Career:

229 rushes
1331 yards
5.81 ypc
13 touchdowns
0 fumbles

Not to bad for the guy backing up the 1st team all SEC back

Unless he gets significantly more touches this year, his draft status is questionable. That's a damn shame too, because IMO he is good enough to make the league.

Ever hear of a guy named Joseph Addai? A lot of people thought he was underused and LSU.

Also:

Around 40% of Charles Scott's rush yards came from his OOC games (Appy State, North Texas, Tulane, and Troy)

Around 25% of Michael Smith's rush yards came from his OOC games (UL-Monroe, Texas, Tulsa)

CS rushed for 102 more yards in 2 more games played than Michael Smith

Charles Scott faced 8 and 9 man fronts after the Auburn and Florida games, when opposing teams realized our QB sucked and we were most likely running the ball with CS in the game.

Did Michael Smith face 8 and 9 man fronts? No. Michael Smith mostly ran out of the spread, against nickel and dime packages.

Seriously, do you even watch football? Comparing a back like CS to Michael Smith is just dumb. They are completely different players.

If you want to compare CS to anybody, compare him to Anthony Dixon, Mark Ingram, and Ben Tate...all "big" backs.

I think if you look at the stats, CS compares very favorably with those guys.

Yes, I watch just about every SEC every week, at least the highlights if I cant watch them all.

I'm not comparing the type of back they are, im comparing their productivity. You want to say "CS plays from I-Formation" (so does MS, in addition to spread), i say MS plays behind 3 and 4 star recruits, while CS plays behind 4 and 5 stars. Could go all day
