+1. I can't believe all the hype he gets on this site. What's the infatuation? Because he's a good baseball player/athlete?
I bet he was the 12th most productive starting FS in the league last year.

until eric berry can cure cancer with his tears chad jones is clearly the better choice

Forgot about that one so yeah, he's got one good lick on our QB.

Hardly a "take your head off" sack.

He started at FS for one game(the bowl game)
So you're right by default, not because you know anything.

volwarrior33 that was a good highlight video but this is my favorite just because of the way it sets up.

Well, I mean Jones is good enough to ride the Julio Express...along with the rest of LSU's secondary.

Speaking of recievers torching another team
Yup
See, I can bring in irrelevant videos to make me feel better about my team too...except, over the past 7 years, I've got a lot more than you.

I realize that you're going to win this argument...because with LSU, you can only go back to when they became relevant--no further.
Dont worry, Julio will own your secondary for the next 2 years, but you'll still have those 7 years of glory to look back on.

This is the single most idiotic thread I have ever seen. We are all now dumber for having listened to you. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Berry is very good. I am not willing to say that Chad Jones is better than Berry. The potential is there for sure. 6'3 225 and sucked up Darren Mcfadden, returns punts, has some nice picks, and will lay a lick on anyone.
At this point Berry is above every db in the country. if you compare this years Berry to nexts years Jones, it will be a pretty good comparison. The bad thing is that Jones is not even the best player in our defensive backfield(patrick peterson) Berry is by far the best player on his team.

Why wouldn't you compare them in the same year? They're in the same class. Plus, it's laughable to think Jones is even near Berry. Wright, Black and Lindley are the only DBs in Berry's league.

chad jones is so overhyped by LSU fans its not even funny.
Posted on 6/4/09 at 8:45 pm to LSUcjb318
Yeah this is crazy talk. Jones is and will be very good. But Berry is on a whole different planet. when he is finished he may well go down as the best DB is SEC history.
