LSU had about the luckiest run they could have had for their title run:

Atlanta
Atlanta
New Orleans

Face Value
SECCG $130 ($260)
Peach Bowl $175 ($350)
CFPNCG $$425 ($850)

So we paid ~1,500 just to attend the three games. Did not include hotels, travel, meals, etc. Also did not include our season ticket costs, etc.

I couldn't imagine adding an extra $350 + 2 flights + hotel stay for an extra playoff game. Not to mention, not many people have access to face value tickets. I think the secondary for the 2019 NCG was $1,200 (~2,000 with fees) per.

Current StubHub Prices:
Sugar Bowl $43
Rose Bowl $185
Fiesta Bowl $38
Peach Bowl $23

Orange Bowl $172
Cotton Bowl $208

NCG $961

It's sad that Atlanta and Glendale are both hosting games while Georgia's in New Orleans and Arizona State's in Atlanta. Predetermining locations is a bad idea

I think it's great, lower ticket prices allows for a broader demographic of fans to get in on the action.

The money is all TV related and frankly, I hope the ticket sites lose their arse, frick them with a 2x4.

Texas fans going all in on the Cotton Bowl, skipping Peach

if Texas beats Az State, cheapest ticket for Jerryworld will be $400+ and will be 80% Texas

Ohio State fans flush from selling their tickets to Tennessee

it’s indicative of a SERIOUS lack of interest in attending games at neutral sites

Still lower than most of the 4 team playoffs.

It's a mistake to not show up for each game as upsets are only upsets when no one sees it coming.

For Texas fans, there’s little reason to go to the Peach Bowl. The team was just in that stadium for the SEC CCG, Arizona State isn’t expected to put up much fight, the next round is the Cotton Bowl so it’s an easy drive for most fans, and the national championship is potential round three there.
