Punishing a team like SMU for losing the extra game to put in bama at the final hour seems exactly what the 4 team CFP would’ve done

100% agree. Bama has zero business being in. And if the Bammers want to argue that Carolina has no business in...thats fine, neither does Bama.

It’s a 12 team playoff there will be plenty of teams in with no business being in. Honestly we just need a 6 team playoff. Take sec big acc and b12 champ. Two at larges(most years would come from sec and big)
