No, one guy claiming he has three sources.

Hell, pretty sure Drew Bress played something like 7 games last year with a similar knee issue. He may not be able to scramble as much or put as much into his throws but he can definitely play on it.

Yes. Some random guy at CFN who never has had any story on Alabama suddenly has the best sources inside our program that nobody else does? Sounds legit to me. Especially after AJ came right back in the game, practiced yesterday with no side effects, and everybody else says he's fine. This guy tweeting doesn't even know who Alabama played last week.

Alex Hurst is going to play RT protecting AJ's meniscus.

It wouldn't take him long to figure it out.

guys play hurt at bama. It happens when you don't have a team full of pussys
McCarron was hurt last year at the Arkansas game and played through the year, including the BCS win against LSU. He had surgery on this shoulder 3 days after. LINK
quote:
How impressive was AJ McCarron’s performance against LSU in the BCS title game? He had surgery on his shoulder three days later.
In fact, McCarron’s whole season was pretty remarkable, and not just because he led Alabama to the national championship as a first-year starter. On Sept. 24, on the seventh play against Arkansas, he dislocated the shoulder on his throwing arm and sprained the AC joint and the labrum. He was often in so much pain that he couldn’t practice. Yet, when then-Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Jim McElwain told him that the gameplan for the rematch with the Tigers would involve a heavy dose of passing, McCarron just bit down on a chunk of leather and let it fly.
McElroy played in the 2009 BCS game with cracked ribs. LINK
quote:
ma quarterback Greg McElroy played the national championship game with a hairline crack in at least one rib. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said Friday that the injury was "a little bit of a nuisance" to McElroy at times. But he said the quarterback never came close to having to leave the Tide's 37-21 victory over Texas on Thursday night.
Saban said the injury didn't show up on X-rays but was spotted during a bone scan. He said didn't say exactly when McElroy was injured, only that the quarterback had the problem "for quite awhile."

AJ will be fine.
If anything, Bama could just rest AJ for the next 2 weeks, let him play for the LSU game, then rest him till the off-season. It's not like it would change the outcome for the rest of the games.

quote:i had a partially torn meniscus for years before finally getting it trimmed last spring. I ran triathlons for years on it, but it eventually became too much. It just depends on the severity. could be partially torn or completely. Regardless, if he was back in the game soon after and signing tittays later in the night, he'll likely be fine till after the season.
similar knee issue

is there ANYBODY who didn't click on the "Tits"link?

Nothing to see here. AJ will be fine, more than likely. I want him to be healthy on 11/3. Not for anything more than I just enjoy good football and want both teams at their best. I would hate to think we beat Bama without their starter and it be skewed in any way. AJ is a tough SOB and a leader. He will be fine.

i have a slightly torn meniscus now that i just live with cause i dont have time to get it cleaned out, can still run, plant, etc.. just tweaks some times. My wife is running around with her acl hanging by a thread, strong leg muscles compensating for the lack of stability

Russ Mitchell was just on Finebaum saying that since the mom and cousin were the only ones willing to go public, that's the story he's going with.
Finebaum tried to nail him down a little bit and ask if he was standing by his former story but he wouldn't really say.
