well in his defense, is there anyone outside of Arkansas that doesn't despise Petrino ?
exactly my point....which makes keeping CBMFP as easy as pie, as in Crow Pie....you people, and many of tFlagship members in the rant forget that sports is congruent to politics, people have short memories and are prisoners of the moment..... come September if the Hogs beat Alabama, no one will even care about the hot blonde in CBMFP's bed...time heals all, even for CBMFP

I agree w/your argument 100%.... I just don't see it happening in the long run. We all live in a different age now. Everything comes out... NOW!!! (as well it probably should). BUT!.... there's still alot of $$$, alota "lawyers" and... "it is what is it is"

frick arky fans. They were told what kind of douche he was and defended his every action. Jut the way he was hired was shitty. Did they not think he would do something shitty in the future?
It's like hooking up with a girl whom is in a relationship with someone else and then you are shocked that she cheated on you while y'all were dating.

This.

They supported the hiring of Petrino under those nasty circumstances as a hired gun. They sold their soul to win and it has blown up in their face.

They have defended his unprofessional behavior and him being a general a-hole so frick them.

They used their Wal Mart money to try and get beyond a middle of the road program by hiring an a-hole and they are facing the consequences.

Was she working directly under Petrino?

Yes probably was working under him some and I would imagine he worked just behind her a few times too.

i dunno maybe i am wrong...was wrong about Ohio State and USC, didn't think they'd get the penalties but i dunno there is just something about Petrino/employee/fiance/leaving the scene of an accident that i think he is gonna get canned

Yeah just sweep it under the rug. Thats worked so well for other programs. The concern i would have is this happening agaim if you retain him. He will mot learn his lesson. Then there will prob be sexual harassment charges filed by other female employees. Thats how these things start, whether they are true or not.

As I said... JMOO...but, you mentioned "the" Ohio State and USC. And I agree w/you..but I reiterate: We live in a different age. I'm an old "girl". I graduated in '81, grew up in TX & came a hair's breadth of enrolling @ SMU...

They got the death penalty and it's been 20 years since they even got a bowl game. Again, JMOO, but they's never give the death penalty to a school ever again... too much $$$$ lost.

Only real new thing is that the ASP have reopened the investigation into the accident. It seems there was another witness to the accident, a Larry Hendren (which also happens to be the name of a Federal judge in Fayetteville) who offered to call 911. Petrino told him no thanks, and left with the family. Larry, being a good Samaritan, called 911 anyway to be on the safe side, and told them about the man and woman on the motorcycle. A report was taken, along with photos of the scene.

Petrino, meanwhile, gets the ride back to Fayetteville and they drop the girl back at her call. Petrino is met by his security officer, an off-duty state patrolman. The story is concocted that Petrino was alone in the accident, and this becomes the story for the University, the press and most likely his family. And he would've gotten away with it too, if weren't for that meddling Larry and his cell phone!

So, on Tuesday, Petrino is visited by another ASP, who goes over Larry's version of the wreck, and Petrino realizes it's all going to come out. His security officer is now under investigation by ASP for his role in this situation, and what he may or may not have done - like not file a report.

The ASP investigation isn't about Petrino, but only makes him look that much worse!

ETA: IF the 911 caller was Judge Larry Hendren - he's also the judge that ruled on the constitutionality of requiring parental consent to read Harry Potter books in schools, a somewhat famous censorship case.

I am not suggesting that the NCAA would punish Arky, I am saying that BP has left the University open to a bunch of different lawsuits...BP dumps his side piece and she says he pressured me into having an affair/Fiance says the environment at the University ruined his relationship etc etc...There is too much $$ at stake here but i think you are talking about The university's not BP.

Well, it looks like Petrino may have crashed not only his motorcycle but his career as well.

Thank you Darlin!

I don't even try to say I have a coherent opinion about what is going to happen w/Monsieur "Bobby"..

We all reap what we sow. I just don't get the "why:?......

No doubt, even worse than I originally thought. I feel so bad for his wife and kids. And the girl's fiance. It's like a bad Lifetime Movie.

Well, I thought the 'crashed his career' thing was pretty decent material. The fact that someone made a legit, informative response made it pretty much go down in flames, though.

Nah - I can be kind of a story-teller.
ETA: And not that legit - I managed to throw in a Scooby-Doo reference.
