Mack Brown, Bill Belichick, Steve Spurrier, Paul Maneiri. Not sure what these guys are thinking, but the only coach capable of pulling off a nati in Football, Baseball, or MBB at 70 or older is Saban. And maybe Krzyzewski however it's spelled. Which was another old carolinas coach.

Need to move away from fans like GamecockUltimate.

That’s the true problem.

lol. rent free.

OP I agree, and Beamer is showing that you can get a young guy who wants to be there. Love or hate her Dawn did too. She was younger when she took over. We hope Paris and Chastain can have continued success.

Of those guys you mentioned, Spurrier imo did pan out. Holtz would be the one that didnt. I do think the football move to get a veteran came off the backs of hiring two up and comers in Sparky and Brad Scott who just didnt work out. Spurrier injected life into that football program (before it did crash).

he doesnt count....they hired him when he was really young, ironically after South Carolina took Dukes national championship winning coach away from them (which shows the respect our MBB had for a bit).

Steve Spurrier

Spurrier had the Gamecocks ranked in the top 10 at the end of the season for three straight years.

The number of times USCe has finished the season ranked in the top 10 in their history?
3 times

Spurrier is the best football coach in their history.
