Back when we had a p/o for 4 teams from 5 conferences with the ability of any conference taking multiple spots.

Mark Stoops makes sure we don’t have to ever worry about this. Usually we know by late September, we have nothing to worry about.

Whereas Georgia, Alabama et al have this haunting them in early November.

I would argue that the 5 seed gets the better deal. Home game against a likely easier and less physical opponent than you'd get in the championship game. I'm a bit old school...I like to win the conference but it's hard to argue thatwe wouldn't have been better off at the 5 seed last year
