Can we just return to 1990 and go back to 10 teams?

Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri, and Texas A&M have literally brought nothing to the table for football for the SEC.
It has been a colossal mistake to allow these teams into the conference and screw up traditional rivalries like Florida-Auburn because of it.
I say lets return to those days and do a round-robin type of schedule similar to the Big 12 with the top two teams playing each other for the SEC Championship.

I mean except more money. Mizzou has overachieved and done their part in the "East". Are they a perfect fit? No, but they've done more than most programs from the East have in the time they've been here

More money? Ok, maybe in the short-term. These Mizzou fans and South Carolina fans are going to stop paying for the SEC Network because their teams suck arse on a regular basis.
Plus, the money would have been there regardless with 10 teams. Expanding to 14 teams just diluted the product of the SEC and gave SEC money to schools that have no business getting SEC money.

Bret Beleima made Arkansas fun and Missouri has a top notch offense Texas a&m give jumbo a year or 2 and watch they will be contenders

This is a football thread. Football is king for revenue.
State fans have very little reading comprehension skills.
Basketball usually only breaks even and baseball loses money for practically every school. So those are not part of this discussion. Coastal Carolina won a baseball national championship -- who cares about conference for baseball?

Let's see...we are 5 -3 overall against Florida. So you may have a point...Florida really doesn't provide much competition. I mean, Kansas State put up more of fight than Florida does.
