What a foolish question. Kiffin is the most self-serving SOB to ever stand on a sideline. He is scum. Ole Miss deserves what they get for falling for his bullshite.

I don't think anyone who is not desperate or unemployed jumps at the Auburn job so it would take some serious investigation and talks before you walk into that shite storm. My guess is that Kiffin was willing to listen to offers but Auburn wanted a decision sooner rather than later. Taking a reasonable amount of time to make such an important decision makes sense but not to rabid fans and the media (especially AU fans). Cohen knew he needed to pull the trigger sooner rather than later. Who knows though; maybe AU was locked into Kiffin or Freeze early. Just seems odd.

I think he absolutely was willing to take the job of Ole Miss had not stepped up. He was Auburns number one target. He is really no different than High Freeze minus theNCAa issues except he has more head coaching experience

Sexton and Auburn had agreed to a verbal deal last Monday and out of respect to the Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl was going to sit on it till Sunday.

However all of this went down, I'm really hesitant to buy into the "there was a contract sitting on his desk" talk.

To me, that just sounds like internet fodder.
