Ask Alabama.
They would say DBU sucks at making open field tackles and that they were in perfect position to stop an easy flat pass, but crapped themselves and went reaching.

It obviously bothers you. Your here in a thread about the coach you don't miss
I'm glad he's gone. Our defense has taken on new life. I think it bothers A&M fans that LSU people aren't more upset about Chavis.

Surely you don't want to discuss DBs and tackling.

Or, they would say the prevent mustang defense is awful and never works. Sorry we didn't allow 500 yards passing to Johnny Menziel. Don't be mad at DBU. It's a fact . Alabamas DB's are awful in the NFL and in college.

The last game your coordinator coordinated he gave up 70 points

Winning before the infamous mustang defense. You have no clue. Just wait, A&M has a putrid defense. It will be worse for you guys

Just saying what happened on a play that loss the OT game for lsu. DBU missed two easy tackles. Facts are facts.
Don't say ask Alabama about a coach, that didn't miss the tackles. The players did. Sorry.

When A&M beats LSU you can talk. You have been abused by that awful offense two years in a row. We might run for 400 against you this year. It's fun running over your soft defense

It's a prevent defense. Do you know what that is? It's the call , if we are in man , like we were all night, he wouldn't have done squat. Like he didn't all night . Sorry you don't understand that

Alabama drove the length of the field to send the game to overtime. Chavis played prevent.

They will see tx, they have awful talent on defense to boot. The honeymoon will be over so fast.

A&M fans arguing with LSU fans about DB play. Good shite.

It's even sweeter because he is a quality human being. He's a guy you can count on
oh, you can count on him all right. you can count on him to do exactly what he always has done and you'd better have the db's to execute it. he is very predictable, esp in two minute situations. that only works if the other team fails in their execution.

as long as you don't try to screw him around
if the definition of screwing him around means he was the highest paid DC in the SEC (until Muschamp arrived) and had struggled almighty for THREE straight years at his job yet demanded top pay with no interference then yes, he was screwed around. LSU's defense being the top rated in the SEC in '14 is a joke. our D was blown out by 3 SEC teams last year and completely dominated by Notre Dame. yes, Chavis is pretty damn good at defending most spread teams as evidenced by how you aggies have been dominated but power teams will crush him. and power teams will crush y'all too. LSU, of course, is a power team and we will blow up your front 7.

I would agree with you if we were an average or slightly below average defense the past couple of years. If Chavis even gets us to just a bad defense that will be light years ahead of where we've been the past 2 years.

Don't be nice. It makes it more difficult if you are likable. All I was trying to say though, was watch out for the chavis prevent. It's unbearable to watch. We didn't give him the nickname 3rd and chavis, Tennessee did

They look so good that A&M is still trying to find defensive players to add through JUCOs.

Ok expert. 3rd and chavis. You have no clue

You're right. There were several "choke" moments in that game... the defense was one of them but not the only one.
