Spurrier raised expectations and proved we can consistently win against those programs ... so we expect to continue to progress, not regress.

A coach can win here. Everything is in place.

This first year is crucial for Boom and his staff.

Ole Miss paid for their stars. And they still can't get to Atlanta.

South Carolina managed that twice without. Why should they go the Ole Miss route and wait around for the inevitable NCAA banhammer to drop in exchange for nothing?

All flaming aside, what are reasonable expectations for next season?... The east is bad, and you guys get a&m at home.... That's three or four winnable conference games... win the three easy OOCs and you're looking at 7-5, maybe better.

Really only Clemson and UT are for sure losses, but the vols travel the WB and almost beat them last year.

lulz

Yeah, I mean after the arse-whooping Clemson put on us this year (won by 5) in our worst season in 15 years ... yeah, we scared. lulz

And Tennessee skunked us ... 27-24.

If we truly put all flaming aside and look at what actually happened at UF, Muschamp's time there wasn't as bad as everyone is claiming. He lost his starting QB in the third game of the season. Say what you want but that's a killer blow to any team. I'd say your 7-5 estimate is achievable simply because of an easier schedule.

- 2014 he lost 20-23 at home in an incredible OT game. (7-6 bowl win over Miami)
- 2013 he lost 14-19 @ SC to Spurrier's #4 ranked Gamecocks. (11-2 bowl in over Wisconsin)
- 2012 he won 44-11 at home to Spurrier's #9 ranked Gamecocks. (flu week following the LSU game for SC)(11-2 bowl win over Michigan)
- 2011 he lost 12-17 @ SC to Spurrier's #10 ranked Gamecocks (11-2 bowl win over Nebraska).

SCAR finished those four seasons with a 40-12 record and four consecutive bowl wins. Most SEC East teams finished with a similar or worse record against the Gamecocks during that span.

So many variables here. Depends on who the QB is, and who earns the RB spot. Is there talent on D that will flourish with competent coaching, or was that poorly evaluated, too? Does Skai Moore come back, as is being reported? Combine all of those variables with the unknowns in the rest of the division (UGA, Mizzou, UF).

Here's what I want: Williams-Brice to be a very difficult place to play again. I think that's the starting point. Be formidable at home.

I think 7-5/8-4 isn't completely unreasonable.

Does USCe have the roster of bagmen that Ole Miss has? Because if not I don't get the comparison.
