I saw some comments about Livingston Parish and Denham Springs and it makes me laugh. I was born and raised in Denham Springs and I have lived here all my life and to be completley honset, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'm proud to say that I come from Denham Springs .

Denham Springs is a suburb of Baton Rouge - just 10 miles east of the 300 year old city which is the capital of Louisiana with an area population of about 800,000. Denham Springs is only about 80 miles north of New Orleans with an area population of 1.5 milllion people. Denham Springs may seem like a small town to you but it is nothing at all like Starkville Mississippi. Starkville is completely isolated more than 100 miles in all directtions from any metropolitan area. The area around Starkville is sparsely populated and among the poorest areas in the America. There is no comparison to Denham Springs Louisiana what-so-ever.

ETA - Starkville is 50 miles from the nearest Interstate Highway - that's ridiculous.

Tidetait, yea I agree Denham Springs doesn't compare with Starksville at all. I've been to Starksville a few times and it is about as isolated as it gets, I love it.

The guy that is a Mississippi State fan is from Louisiana. He's an LSU fan. My best friend is from Baton Rouge. He told me that Livingston Parish is white trash suburb of Baton Rouge.I visited, saw for myself. It sucks, just like Starkville.

All you people on here that have so much to say about Livingston Parish and Denham Springs, ya'll are something. Laugh and make fun of Denham all you want. Denham is a great community with good ole boys and good hard working people. Ya'll can take your big cities life and everything else that comes with it. Believe me, I'll take sitting on my front porch watchin the sunset anyday over any other place in the world. I'll take fishing on the river, hunting deer on my land, wide open spaces with cattle and horses, and living in Denham Spring anyday. This is where I was born and raised and this is where they will put me in the ground . . . I'm proud to say that's where I come from.

Dude - you do realize you live in the Baton Rouge suburbs don't you? The intersection of I-12 and I-10 and The Mall of Louisiana is only 5 or 6 miles from your doublewide. You can be on the State Capital steps in 10 minutes from your front yard. Do you really think you live out in the country - like Starkville Mississippi?

I can't hold it back any longer - you're a moron. I was in Denham Springs wednesday - I've been there a hundred times. The State of Louisiana Ethics Committees office is in Denham Springs and they are clients of my firm. After I left Denham Springs wednesday I had an appointment at the Department of the Treasury at the Capital and it took me less than 15 minutes to make the commute. I went to grad school at Tulane - you're giving Tulane a bad rep around here.

holy shite you are as dumb as a fricking rock. i am frickING FROM DENHAM SPRINGS. it is not "5 or 6 miles" from the mall of louisiana, that is complete and total bullshite. i have lived in denham and worked at the mall of louisiana. it is also not 10 minutes from the state capital steps. you are just flat out wrong. everything that you have posted on here is ridiculously stupid. i haven't seen one thing that you have said that shows even a semblance of intelligent. i really wish tulane would stop taking mediocre students from schools like alabama for their grad programs, but the grad programs are notoriously weaker than the undergrad school and you are living proof. now shut the frick up and take your ignorant arse back to an alabama board

eta: i am bumping this the next time i see you online because i'm tired of you posting incredibly stupid things then running after you've been exposed

No Eli, we don't. We place no emphasis on engineering or architecture.

By the way, what kind of loading scenarios should a design like that be designed for? Obviously, torsion is not an issue. Soil conditions shouldn't matter either. I only ask because I don't want to be sued, thats where you come in...

Running from what? You're a fricking retard. You don't even know where you live. Every LSU fan on this board knows Denham Springs is 10 miles from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. You must be a special ed kid or you've done too much acid. Get a grip a-hole. Your hate of Alabama has rotted your brain so much you get lost in your own home town.

ETA - Never mind - you're too ignorant.
