I was shocked after the punt return right before the half that UGA did not throw to the end zone at least twice.
It looked like the coaches were to careful there.

^^^yep^^

Coaches thought it was an even matchup and called the game very conservatively. Now they know that won't work. Doesn't mean the outcome will be different, but at least we know we have to do something different

The coaches pulled in the reins after the first drive in the last game.

Let me preface this by saying we would have lost the game anyway, but the second drive of the game was classic Chaney. We are up 7-3, with a real chance to put AU on their heels and make them nervous, and he bludgeons Nick Chubb into a wall on inside runs on first and second down. Ran it right into the strength of the defense.

This is when I knew the game was over and we were not going to even try to win.

Fromm is still a 4* qb. He doesn't have an insane arm like Eason does

Yeah and Fromm likely wouldn't be playing had Eason not gotten hurt. It's a fine separation between the two and a nice problem to have

yes. without the fumble on the punt and a dropped td that first game is way different. i personally am not that optimistic going into saturday after having to play bama and uga basically getting a bye week last two weeks.

There is no doubt the game would have been different, but Auburn clearly dominate the LOS. If that doesn't change we will see a similar outcome. Now, if we have a different approach to the game, we have a chance.

You made a good point, though, about Auburn playing two really tough games in the last 3 weeks. This will make 3 in 4 weeks, and that is a meat grinder.

Shitty qbs often throw for 2500 yards as a true freshmen in the SEC?

You do know that Chubb gained 6 yards on both of those runs, right? 6 yards on first and 6 yards on second down for a first down.

Fromm is not the problem. Giving up 40 points is the problem. Just my opinion.

We don't have the horses to match up with that D line.

If UGA doesn't have the horses, then no one does.

I mean I saw Fromm throw a deep ball against Kentucky 60 yards in the air and didn't look like he was trying to give it every little bit. What good is a fastball if you have no changeup. Eason has shown very little touch and accuracy in his career. Even the handful he's thrown in mop up this year have been 100mph and behind.

On about 10 occasions this year, commentators have stopped and marveled at Fromms Arm Strength, Accuracy, and release. In two games they have noted throws as top end NFL throws.

I watched him throw a ball 65 yards a few games ago and it came out like a rocket never getting more than 35 feet in the air.

He has an NFL arm and.more overall arm talent than Eason.

Best objective analysis I've seen. Your observation is exactly what I've been seeing all year. I want UGA to let the offense play more open and loose like we did in the first half. We were only 1 catch away from taking a lead and changing the momentum of the game. It has been Cheneys knock and Georgia's biggest concern on offense is can Cheney adapt and make adjustments when a team of equal talent loads the box to stop the run. For me that's the game for us. You can't leave the defense out there that long. Any defense will get worn down if the offense can't stay on the field. I believe UGA will have to pass protect more on first downs and loosen up that Auburn defense to get the ground game to open up. Our problem unlike Auburn is you can read our plays from formations and we're not deceptive like Auburn on offense.

Fromm has good pocket presence but I do not believe his arm is better. Some of the 50/50 passes that Wims caught were 50/50 because they were underthrown. While I do think that Fromm is a good qb, Eason has been put in more 2-minute drill clutch situations like TN, Mizzou, and Kentucky last year.

I don't think so. I believe Kirby needs to put Eason back at No. 1. Fromm just doesn't have the arm to make the throws needed.

Guess you haven't watched much UGA football and follow QB ratings much.

Plus, you'd have to be an idiot to pull a 11-1 starting QB.
