That said, I wouldn't exactly call him a "tough guy" and neither would anyone who watched him in the Super Bowl.
You base this off one play of his career and refuse to address the rest of his career in both college and the NFL. Cam Newton is one of the toughest players in the NFL. How does him not attempting to jump on a fumble equate to him not being tough, while Demarcus Ware literally had his arm draped over the ball? Or let’s not even mention that he takes on linemen and linebackers as a runner on a weekly basis. It took Atlanta’s whole team to bring him down on one play last year.

4) Kelvin Benjamin wasn't wrong. If he'd started his career with Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Big Ben, Matt Ryan, Phillip Rivers, or many others as his QB then he likely would have been better served. Cam isn't exactly known for being in the top of the league in accuracy.
And Kelvin Benjamin isn’t exactly known for work ethic, good hands, good route running ability or separation, either. He’s tall. That’s it.

Cam Newton isn’t the most accurate QB and none of us will say he is, but Kelvin Benjamin’s career has suffered from his own damned actions. That’s why he was traded mid-season. He has his self to blame.

Let’s also mention CN1 won the MVP and lead Carolina to a Super Bowl without Kelvin Benjamin’s scrub arse.

Imagine doing this at 6'5 260

Imagine being 6'5 260 and not diving for a loose ball in the Super Bowl.

3) I think Cam is a dynamic player and a phenomenal athlete. That said, I wouldn't exactly call him a "tough guy" and neither would anyone who watched him in the Super Bowl.

I would sure like to see you try this, tough guy:

Cam, because his team chooses to spend the vast majority of its draft picks on defense for 8 years and not draft any offensive linemen, has been the most hit QB in the league for about 7 years now and he still gets up and is ready for the next play.

You likely have the IQ of a fricking turnip.

I'm sure somewhere Cam is thankful that you, member of Mensa, has come running to his defense on a message board.

I didn't say Cam wasn't a good QB. I simply said he's not going to fight Benjamin there. Everyone knows it. He's mugging for the camera there. It's ok for us to disagree.

Also, Benjamin wasn't wrong about Cam's accuracy. He's never been known as an accurate passer, just as Benjamin has never been known as a hard worker. I am not "bashing" Cam or "sticking up for" Benjamin (who I can't stand and already stated I think he looks like he's transitioning to be a woman).

It's ok to admit when someone that went to your school isn't perfect. You don't have to defend everything. Trent didn't have the vision to cut it in the NFL. See. it's possible to acknowledge that sometimes commonly held opinions are commonly held b/c they are the best representation of reality.
