You mean 1998? 24 years ago? I thought Tennessee was the bestest to hear Smokeyone talk.

Surely they have an SEC Championship in that time, right?
Georgia has played for 7 SEC Championships and won 3 since Tennessee has?

Crap, Smokey!

USC was the overwhelming consensus national champion in 1967....Tennessee finished 9-2, yet they list 1967 as one of the national title years.

There goes the Vowels trying to pad their list of achievements most unscrupulously as usual.

You haven’t heard/read me say that. They last time I felt confident that Tennessee was a national title contender was before 2005.

But was my post incorrect?

Fields’ rationale for leaving was understandable

He decided prior to end of his true freshman season that since he didn't get to start he was quitting the team. Theres no telling what could've happened in the offeseason going into 2019. But he didn't start immediately out of the gates so he left. Not sure I'd call that understandable

It’s not last year

UGA won the 2021 title, so prior to last year would be applicable.

You talk a lot of shite for a fan of a team with less NCs than UGA in the last 50+ years and zero titles, not even conference, this century.

Was my statement incorrect? Or are you just upset I, as a fan of a team on a downturn pointed it out? Because you seem upset at me for pointing out something obvious about a poorly thought throughout troll attempt in this thread. Blame the OP for tossing up beach balls instead being upset at me for ballparking them.

Brenton Cox NIL deal

Second year of NIL in Florida for a guy that was likely to be drafted… he is likely a millionaire at this point.

Mays did not.

How so? He was a legacy 5* that got to play Prodigal Son. He was able to play with his brother while being in a 3 different systems (Pittman/Kirby, Friend/Pruitt , Elarbee/Huepel) that better prepared him to be in the NFL. He was drafted despite injury issues and signed a 3.8 million dollar contract to sign in the NFL.

How is that a mistake?

Does this look like an MVP stat line for a QB?
17/26 224 8.6 2 0 71.0

The MVP of UGAs games was D depth.

Bennett as MVP is about like the last dude to be named woman of the year. The idiots applaud the brave move and the D that should have collectively won it gets shouted down.

Looks like the stat line of a champion QB to me. 4/4 for 80+ and 2 touchdowns to close the game is what MVP’s do.

They have 16 players signed and only 5 million in the “war chest”. He’s not getting a million from that. He might when he gets drafted but he and Mays could have doubled or tripled their money had they stayed at UGA.

You think we misused our qb in 2021? That’s one hell of a stupid statement.

If he wants that, he better make the 53 man roster.

Yep. Misused a QB all the way to a national championship. Maybe Tennessee should try it.

41 years worth of UGA recruits never won a national championship. "Don'tcha just know their daddies weren't too happy about their decisions."

I'm sure the daddies of the recruits who finally won one are relieved that their son won a NC in spite of picking a historically suck arse school.

This dumb bastard obviously forgot about 4 decades plus before he came in talking like UGA is a perennial champion. Typical Dawg idiot.

Should we remind this obvious child that his team went 41 years?

Why don 't you Dawg idiots just STFU? You are not an elite team that is a perennial champion.

Okay, last year was your year. See you in 4 decades.
