Good Lord what a mess. Well Coach, you have 2 weeks to figure it out. Nobody expected the Vols to beat UGA or Bama this year so the good news is they are out of the way now. The massive upset you allowed UK to pull off is inexcusable but done and over so it’s time to move past it.
A) Figure out the QB slot. Gitmo is just good enough to piss you off. The good isn’t worth the bad at this point.
B) Coach, go get drunk and laid. Spend a day away from the game. You are too close to it right now. Let the staff handle prep for a day.
C) You have 5 very winnable games left on the schedule, treat them as such.

Winnable as in, you score more points than the opposing team? Or winnable as in, you fought hard and clearly took some good steps, even if it doesn’t show in the scoreboard.

Winnable as in Tennessee should win 3 of them and legitimately can win all 5 of them on paper.

My concern for the Vols, and I know this is going to sound odd, would be that y'all could reel off some wins. You finish the season on a nice winning streak.
Which will give some cover to the fact that in a season where folks thought y'all had a good chance to take a big step forward the Vols are, instead, riding a three game losing streak.
And a baaaad three game losing streak. Trust me. I watched Arkansas during the Chad Morris years. I know a bad losing streak.
Rallying late in the season might get you to a bowl game but there are some real flaws with the Vols coaching staff and it might be better to have a bad year and rip that band aid off then keep it covered.
