You’re so ignorant. Who doesn’t finish the thought experiment here?
Saban is smart enough to know that with high levels of attrition to the NFL and the portal, the portal is the best place to find talent, ability, AND experience
I’m sorry you’re upset that Saban knows how to get more out of your guys than your coach does lol

AD got an NIL deal from Texas and asked Kirby to match it. Kriby said 'no'. He only played in 3 or 4 games for UGA last year. We were fine without him. He was a good dude who came up big in the biggest games and I wish him the best.
AD will have an opportunity for a good nfl career.
He's a starter at the X position. He would have been our starter the past 3 seasons if he didn't transfer (injury to George Pickens in 2021).
Some fans may be upset that he didn't play in 2022 but held us at gunpoint for a huge bag in 2023.
Injuries happen. His family is in Texas. It worked out for him.
I don't get mad at Todd Gurley for getting hurt. Or AJ Green. Or nick chubb. Sometimes players get hurt.

So all of your great wide receivers transferred out?
That's why you took UGAs backup Y receiver?
If the portal is the best place to find talent, that absolutely means your recruiting and development is absolutely not the place to find talent and development.
You don't use your words very well.
At least not in supporting any of your arguments in this backfire of a thread.

Williams, Latu, Metchie and Bolden all left for NFL
Billingsley and Hall transferred to Texas
Baker transferred to UCF
That was 80% of our receiving TDs and 78% of our receiving yards
You could absolutely say the WR/TE room had become thin on experience due to attrition

Wild that UGA's back up was their 2nd leading receiver in both yards and TDs. Yes I'd probably take him too if he's wanting to come lol

Talent, Ability AND experience.
Let's apply a tad more reading comprehension.
If you're getting hit with attrition, you'll have to supplement with experience, and that isn't going to be found in high school nor can you "develop" game reps in practice.

Nah you just can't read for shite.

OP I think its worth noting that both of the players that hit the portal on UGA and came to Bammer played a key role in the SECCG win.
Burton had a TD
LB Trez Marshall had a key FB recovery and was the 3rd leading tackler for Bammer
While true, we were able to replace Burton and I do't think we missed him that much. When he left he was one of my favorite receivers and I thought he would pile up numbers similar to Williams and Metchie. He didn't though, which still surprises me.
Marshall wasn't getting the playing time, and i understood why he left. But, we had some injuries at ILB and we could have used him this year. Of the two, I think we missed him more.

To be fair, Jermaine Burton tries to bring a lot of attention to himself, and it’s often negative. It’s not surprising that fans would give him a lot of shite.

He’s a bit of a dick and I don’t care for his antics. No argument there
