Heisman supposed to be best player, Young isn’t even best player on your team

Back to Heisman debate:
Pickett 29 TD, 3 INT, 3171 yards
Young 28 TD, 3 INT, 2755 yards
It's close as hell on the stats, both having great years. I would give it to Pickett if the season ended now, because he has Pitt in the Top 25 with obviously a ton less talent around him. But both are having fantastic seasons and reasonable minds can disagree on who should win it. Should be decided over the next few weeks.

with the exception of kicker.
Kicker is excellent.
On the other hand, long snapper and holder clearly bet the under last Saturday.

You may not have been watching this year. Elite talent at every position is not on the field for Bama.
Very good talent with a high ceiling, but it is the biggest drop off in overall onfield production in a while.
The OL is where all the problems start and good, not great skill players and commitment/team first attitude issues among some with elite talent at their positions worsen the problem.
Still, everything is in front of the Tide. Just need to play for each other and grow each week.

This Alabama offense does not have elite, experienced talent comparatively. They just don't. After watching them on Saturday you should understand that. We lost tons of talent last year, we are in an in-between phase on the OL and at WR. We have a great senior back, but he is not explosive at all.
Acting like this team is just the same on offense as the last 3 teams is idiotic.

Bear Bryant's grandson is a terrible holder, but even Saban wouldn't dare yank his scholarship.

People are missing my point. The Heisman is almost always a fairly stupid award. College football has so big with many conferences, positions, etc. when people say the award is a travesty if “X” doesn’t win are being silly

Is he on scholarship? That is surprising in itself. Assumed he would have paid his way

I think the guys who have a chance to really boost themselves forward with wins over the next few weeks are
- Pickett if Pitt sweeps UNC, UVA, SYR and then he has a big ACC CG and they win. And he should have tons of yards against UNC and UVA as those will be shootouts and their defenses are atrocious.
- Walker at MSU if MSU can beat OSU and PSU and then he has a big B1G Title game. He gets another statpadder game vs Maryland this weekend and will be set up for a chance to put up huge numbers in big games down the stretch.

To be fair, there haven’t been problems until Saturday but then there were a season’s worth in one game.

Sometimes we have to break it down.
No, but you did put up a significant argument for the title
best "young" QB in Saban era. Bama is a 3 loss team without him. Cool as ice and tough as nails. Won an SEC game vs LSU with 6 yds rushing to help "balance" the offense. How did UGA do vs LSU in last few attempts?
Bama has to get to ATL first, but I don't think he's playing Will Anderson win he gets there

Jordan Davis and Will Anderson
And several other defensive players have stood out more than any offensive players.
