Ranking in the bottom 3rd of the league on average over 9 years isn't considered mediocre, it's considered bad.

So was it just the playcalling or did personnel (or lack thereof) factor in?

Considering all we needed was 1 fricking safety to beat you guys last season, I think you should worry about how many points your team will score.

The guy left the bad Jets for the worse Rams, what does that tell you? Now he's on his way to College. He's 2 years away from being a low level assistant or out of football completely.
Georgia beat us last year? Really? I only remember the Alabama game as the one that really mattered.

So is getting beat by a combined score of 76-13 by the only ranked teams you played considered bad?medicore?
Just trying figure out what your standards are.Doesn't seem to bother one Missouri fan on this board.

This is a Heisman worthy exhibit of deflection. You won't get quality like this from just anywhere, folks.

How bad do you think our o will be?
If Schotty is actually running it... pretty damn ugly.
If Richt keeps the reins and Schotty is OC in name only...decent only because of Chubb.

Considering the talent he worked with, one could argue those scoring ranks are impressive.
Well, we may be saying the same thing about your Dawgs when he sits Chubb on 4th and 1 and puts McKenzie in at RB and runs him up the middle just to get leveled in the backfield.

UGA's offense has never been about razzle dazzle or scheme. Shott wasn't brought in to overhaul the offense, he was brought in to take over where Bobo left off.
Richt said as much at Media Days.
Shott will be at OC much like Hutson Mason was at QB last year.
Don't get fancy... just don't frick it up.

He seems to have his act together and so far the arrests and player troubles have ceased (knock on wood).
Recruiting has even picked up a notch from a high bar so no problem there...
He went out and got another QB right out of the gate so he's proactive.
Auburn and Florida are worried about him greatly so that in a nutshell should tell you something.
So how did we get stuck with you guys and the West got the A school?

We're more positive thinkers, like our 22-5 record over the last 2 years and back 2 back division championships.

So... our record-setting offense under Mike Bobo is, in one offseason, going to be rendered damn near incapable of scoring points all because we brought in an NFL OC. That about sum it up?

Maybe they didnt' want him, neither you nor I know that.
Yes we do.

It's entirely possible he wanted to take a shot at the college game (unheard of, I know!) and it's entirely possible he wanted to coach with Richt
Take your black and red shaded glasses off WG. You know better than this. It might have been his ideal option 33 but if he could have remained in the NFL he would have.

The A school? The one with the Big 12 defense still?

My logic is that it's impossible to extrapolate nfl production to what someone will do in college, and vice versa. You idiot.
Try to spin it whichever way will make you more comfortable. I hope he does well for ya. But he'll only do well if it's a dog and pony show and Richt is really running the offense.

Regardless, our Red & Black game showed pretty much the same offense we had under Bobo. A pro set, lots of play action, pocket passing, some Power I, etc.
Looked pretty good, actually. I'm not predicting 34-0, but yeah, you're about to get your arse waxed again.

You keep bringing up the guy being in the NFL as something that we should be impressed about. He was a daddy's boy that was given every possible scenario to succeed. Now he's in college after being on average, one of the WORST offensive coordinators in the league.

It really does burn your arse that you didn't get to play in the SECCG the last 2 years, doesn't it? Go ahead. You can admit it. While you're at it, you can admit that the country was laughing at both UGA and Schotty when he was hired as OC. The sooner you can accept these things, the sooner you can move forward.

If Mauk throws 6 interceptions ever again in his career I will eat my shoes.

Two of the worst NFL coaches of all time were Steve Spurrier and Nick Saban.
