You yourself started a thread yesterday about Brian Kelly not being able to win a big game. How’d that work out for you?

It worked out exactly like I expected.

If LSU wins the game, it wasn't a big game.

If they lose, it was a big game.

It's so predictable at this point.

That's what separates Saban, Kirby, Meyer, etc. from the rest of the pack.....they think preparation is nearly as damn important as the game itself.

Didn’t Kirby lose backup QB’s multiple times, in the SEC championship game, National Championship??

Isn’t Kirby like 1-6 against bama, 1-2 against LSU, etc…where was his preparation against an average bama team this year ?

Apparently the Aggie idiocy is rubbing off on you

Remember that time Kirby didn't have Georgia prepared for Tua?

Nah, that one wasn't bad. We had that game and fricked it up. Tua was playing out of his arse but it took a prayer on a 3rd and long to beat us.

The one that killed us was the one where Hurts came back in after losing his job to Tua. That one, I don't think Kirby thought there was any chance Saban would go back to Jalen. Problem is, we hurt Tua early in the game....one of those cases of being too good ;)

I’m going to posit you have never played anything other than a little flag football, now you are a P5 Coaching Prep Expert.

High School Football in Texas and Oklahoma. 1 Texas state championship ring, 1 Oklahoma state championship ring, and 1 National championship ring (senior year ).

What’s your resume look like?

I get that you’re emotional after a tough loss, but Reed should have been planned for or adjustments made. That never happened apparently. If it somehow makes you feel better to be mad at me about that, fine.

I am watching this thread and laughing at the irony that LSU posters refuse to address.

Easier for these clowns to put full blame on a 21yo kid (who doesn't play on the defensive side of the ball).

Go to sleep little guy, you’ve been hiding behind the internet too long today.

It wasn't a really big game and he still lost. So there goes your theory.

Yeah…? You posited and you posited wrong. I was informing you, not bragging. Although, I do consider myself lucky to have played in some great games.

Brian Kelly is quite possibly the worst coach that a program can have if their goal is to win a national championship.

He is going to win 8 or 9 regular season games every single season. He may even manage 10, but that looks even harder in this new SEC. He will be too good to fire for a long time. But he will always just have his team on the cusp. And every year fans will say “next year is the year”. But he will never make it over the hump.

Brian Kelly himself said this is the year that his performance should be evaluated. It seems most LSU fans, other than you, are not impressed. If he loses another regular season game this season the LSU administration is going to have a problem. To make things even worse, Brian Kelly is the oldest coach in the SEC. Time is not a coaches friend once they reach their sixties. I have said since he got there that his window will close once he hits 65. He is 63 now.

“Kelly didn’t lose that game. The guy who threw three picks did.”

Our coach had the presence of mind to switch QBs when one was ineffective. Whose fault was it that Nuss stayed in so long when he started sucking? Does LSU not have any good backups?

I'm not impressed by him, I just think he's a good head coach.

I don't subscribe to today's notion that a coach is either elite or trash.

I think Kelly can put LSU in a position to compete and that's all you can hope for. I can't think of a better candidate who was available.

I now know that I should never take anything that captdalton says seriously, ever. That is one of the more ridiculous things I’ve seen in this board today, and I’ve seen some idiotic things.

I’m not familiar with high school national championship games, can you please enlighten me?

Who were the teams? Where was the game?

Do you really think the rest of the LSU fanbase will just be happy to be competitive?

I don’t.
