It was because there is no argument against 10-2.
There doesn't need to be an argument. LSU won the west.
That's called football.

They luckily got a struggling team in the SECCG, and they struggled against them anyways.
LSU had a starting QB and other starters out.
That's not luck.
That's called football.

When discussing a national title, there is no argument against 10-2.

Getting the struggling vols over uga was a lucky draw. There is no argument against that either.

I can prove you wrong right now.
There's no NCAA rule saying that a national champion can't have 2 losses.
Boom. Your argument is defeated.

LSU won the games it needed to win to secure the west.
Tennessee won the games it needed to win to secure the east.
That's not luck.
That's called football.
Boom. Your argument is worthless.

Just like there is no argument against conference title game beatdown.
The obvious argument is the 12-0 regular season

See 2008 Bama and 2009 UF. Not obvious now.

No rules against luck. Never will be either. Be thankful for your luck. You got it for 2003 as well.

luck. Tennessee won the games they were supposed to to get to Atlanta.
Lsu was lucky the vols got lucky. That’s luck on top of luck. Lsu badly needed a weaker opponent in the SECCG, and you got it.

Only 1 of the teams behind those 12 wins finished the season ranked top 10.
UGA just got lucky with their schedule. There's no argument against that.

UGA needed a weaker schedule to even get to Atlanta.
You didn't have it in 2007, but you did in 2021.

What does that have to do with comparing 10-2 to 12-0?

What does that have to do with comparing SEC champ vs SEC loser?

Safe to assume that is Typical of most teams regular season schedules considering only 9 spots available.

And not a 1 of them ranked top 10 in the AP?
Yeah, okay.
Yeah, okay.

Basically djsdawg is saying LSU is lucky that Tennessee pushed Georgia's shite in.

Basically every team EXCEPT for UGA has had luck according to him.

UGA had bad luck from 1980 to 2020. Then, they had no good luck.

It was pretty close to miraculous. Kelly was seriously hamstrung at ND...he doesn't have those limitations at LSU.
He didn't have trouble recruiting and developing offensive linemen and TE's at Notre Dame. ND was regularly putting those guys into the draft. He had a lot of decent college QB's too.
The problem with his recruiting at Notre Dame, is that if he need to fill 18 spots in a class with WR, RB, DB, DL, LB, he had to go to 18 different states to do so.
