Affect? Sure. But LSU brought by in something like 17 portal players. Those are players that have been in a college level S&C program. They are much more than nothing. Saying LSU had half a roster sounds dumb and makes LSU fans look stupid.

And Alabama brought in a lot of portal players that got significant playing time. Do we discount Jahmyr Gibbs, Burton, Tyler Steen, Eli Ricks etc? They came from the portal so their contributions amount to nothing?
