Yeah I think Riley knew he was about to be exposed so he jumped ship. He can blame it on lack of talent for the first couple of years at USC before they start realizing they were conned.

I think Riley is still a great offensive coordinator and he could certainly attract talent at the QB position. We will miss that.

I also think our defense was solid but not great this year. We weren't the laughingstock of a few years ago. Unfortunately as the defense improved the offense regressed.

I think Riley's offense could do some good things in the SEC but his teams were far too soft.

Riley was already being exposed by BIG XII defenses who had caught up to him.

He was a great offensive coach no doubt. I think the cracks were starting to show about his overall coaching ability though. Can't blame him. Pac 12 doesn't play defense and most of their teams suck.

I think that is a bit unfair. The offensive line wasn't great and QB play wasn't what we are used to.

Rattler showed that he was very mediocre under pressure. He still has the physical tools so I am not writing his career off (at UCLA or wherever) but we learned he has a long ways to go.

Williams showed he is a future star but at times played like a true freshman.

Riley didn't have the horses this year he normally has.
