Calloway and Shinn will take visits. They've been committed for months, and I don't expect they'll be subject to Coach Saban's recruiting changes.

Regardless, Calloway will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend for Junior Day. Let's talk about that.

Exactly what I thought!! Brent, probally the num 1 linebacker in the state!

Judging by who he is eating lunch with (Offensive Coord & RB Coach) it would appear he's being recruited as a RB.

Yeah I don't have any information, just a guess by who he's eating lunch with. Don't know a thing about the kid.

"Auburn's offensive coordinator (Gus Malzahn) told me that if I came there, that I would be the only running back they sign in that class," said Calloway. "They said they want to make me a feature back. I think I am really going to be more suited for defense anyway in college. Right now I am already about 217 pounds and almost 6-foot-3. I love playing offense, but if defense is where I need to be to get to the next level, that is where I will play."

Calloway missed the Tide's first Junior Day two weekends ago but has plans to be in Tuscaloosa for the second event on February 20.

"I hated that I missed the first Junior Day because I wanted to catch up with a lot of guys. I have made a lot of friends visiting Tuscaloosa, both other prospects and players. It is really became like home for me. I didn't miss too many games last fall, and I won't miss many this fall either.

"My commitment to Alabama is solid. I am going to go through the recruiting process and take visits, but I told Coach Saban that when I committed and he was fine with it. It is something that I need to do because I really haven't been anywhere else."

Calloway has an interesting list of schools on his agenda to visit in terms of geography.

"I sort of want to go out when I take my official visits to places I have never seen or may never get to see. I know I want to visit Miami, FSU, USC and Oregon. Maybe Georgia Tech and Florida, but those first four schools for sure," said Calloway. "I will go to Alabama a lot unofficially obviously and take an official there too."

Calloway holds current offers from Alabama, Auburn, USC, Vandy and is expecting to receive one soon from Mississippi State.

If he says he's taking visits, then take em. If I was a high profile kid and committed before my senior year, I'd take every visit I could.

Sounds almost like the Shon Coleman deal, minus him being a high profile kid before his Sr. year.
