Miles' text of "I need my joint a n****r rl jus got fakin" would lack context for Miller. It's not saying "my gun is in the back of your car, and I want you to bring it to me."
Then what is it saying?

Pretty responsible capital murder suspects. That can’t be ruled out.

I mean, they supposedly have previous texts of Miles asking for a ride. Yes we still have a ton of questions but a lot of the statements made here are easily verifiable

The only facts that really arent are the 3 biggest ones

A. Was the gun concealed
B. Did Miller know it was there
C. If and when did Miller see the text

And the pussy arse Bama fans calling for Miller to be benched or dismissed. Those are the ones who look the worst right now. Thankfully, there have been only a couple.

Had no idea what his buddy’s slang means

Forget the slang. "I need my gun. There's a guy here threatening me."

If Miller hadn't seen Miles leave the gun his car, why would Miller read that to mean "I need you to bring me my gun,"?

Dude definitely knew the gun was in the car. Not saying that’s enough to be a crime in Alabama but it does mean the Alabama basketball team rolls heavy and that’s a problem which I’m hoping they’ve addressed internally. Chances of guns being brought on campus are high. Miller is lucky he wasn’t shot and that he looks to have a way out of this mess.

“So what are you trying to say? Because he's black that must mean this statement is a lie? I didn't touch a proper firearm until I was 26 years old”

So how old was you when you touched your first improper firearm? Lol

This is the only full timeline regarding Miller’s involvement that we’ve been given to this point, and aligns perfectly with there being no charges filed against him and no disciplinary action taken by the university.

No, it's not. According to news media that attended the hearing and heard the testimony:

"At a hearing for Miles and Davis, more details emerged, including the presence at the scene of two additional Alabama players, Jaden Bradley and Brandon Miller."

"According to a Tuscaloosa detective, he is also someone who received a text from Miles that night requesting that Miller drive over to The Strip, a collection of bars and restaurants, and bring Miles’ gun with him.

Miller complied, according to AL.com reporting from the courthouse."

"On the return trip, police allege that Miller parked his car in a manner that blocked the Jeep that Harris, her boyfriend and a cousin, who is an Alabama student, were in. Bradley also allegedly parked his car in that manner."

"When Miller arrived, Miles and Davis got in his car, according to testimony. It was there that Miles took the gun and then handed it to Davis, telling him, "There’s one in the head,” a reference, police testified, to a bullet being in the chamber.

With the gun in his hand, Davis walked up and “began firing through the driver’s side window of the Jeep,” AL.com reported. “He fired at least eight shots, some of them while running in an arc from the driver’s side around the back of the vehicle.”

Miller's attorney is doing his job, but he can allege whatever he wants in favor of his client. He doesn't have to prove anything.

Actually, that's Yahoo grossly misstating what AL.com had published.

Sounds coincidental but texts can probably back it up

Can you go back tell when a text message was opened? Genuinely curious

There are tech people who can forensically extract that kind of data from a phone. I would be interested to see if that has been done in this case.

That's a column, not a report. And the linked source doesn't say anything like how Goodbread reframed it. Try again.

If you took the thugs (see Brandon Miller, Darius Miles, etc.) out of big time college athletics, you'd be left with intramural caliber sports. Universities should never have become the minor league systems for professional leagues. Most of these guys have neither the intelligence nor the inclination to make genuine academic use of their scholarships and would have never stepped onto a college campus had it not been for their athletic ability. Instead, they'd be shooting each other on the mean streets of some US city.

I wish the various video and audio recordings, together with a full transcript of the text messages could/would be released.

The only thing the statement really adds, and it isn’t inconsequential, is the claim that Miller’s car arrived and parked before the victims Jeep. If that parking is in a pretty normal/routine way and not in a way to intentionally block a pathway for the victims vehicle, that’s key.

I wonder if the reference to blocking the street was more directed at Bradley’s auto or just a poorly worded statement from the detective.

That statement alone cleared a pretty big hurdle for the folks that have lamented for 2 days claiming Miller intentionally blocked the path and trapped the Jeep.

I have no idea why Miller's attorney would make that statement if it weren't true? But I'd think camera footage and street cam's could easily prove this was the case. If it is true that Miller's car arrived before the Jeep entered the scene, then it means it Miller didn't help intentionally set a trap.

You got him all right, but thug-defending Bama fans are too stupid to know when they've been had or too amoral to admit it.

because it is a LIE>

I'll go with the Detective's testimony that was given under oath vs a PR statement fluff piece from the kid's lawyer.
