That call completely deflated the game.

And this is what it comes down to. If the Chiefs kick a field goal there, the Eagles have roughly 90 seconds and a time out to do something with the ball. We were deprived of what might have been one of the most exciting Super Bowl finishes in recent memory. When that ref threw the flag, everyone watching in the stadium and on television knew how the final minute and a half would play out. It went from high stakes drama to a predictable conclusion in the blink of an eye.

. Chiefs also still win if it wasn’t called so I don’t know why it’s such a huge storyline.

It would have been 4th down and Butker would need to kick a 32 yarder on a suspect field where he missed a FG earlier in the game. If that were the case, KC still likely goes up by 3 but with 1:58 left and Philly having a TO left.

You saying that Philly doesn't at least have a 50/50 chance to get into FG range with almost 2 minutes and a TO left???

Conversely, nobody would have said a word about it being a hold if it wasn't called. Even the receiver, and we all know receivers cry about everything, didn't ask or look for a flag. He knew he wasn't held.
