Uh, yes, Jones is elite compared to Trask. He’s not Burrow or Tua elite, but he’s much more consistent than Trask and has a better supporting cast.
Trask was better in his RS junior season than Burrow was in his. Trask was the third best QB in the conference this season behind Burrow and Tua (I get that Fromm's mediocre season was as much on his WRs as on him, but still)
I mean I think Trask's ceiling is limited to an extent and I don't think he's an NFL QB but teams have won titles with worse

Jones won't be the starter for Bama anyway, all world QB Bryce Young will be.

Pretty close to impossible for Flarda to make the CFP with Trask as their QB
Trask is to Flarda FB what Ehlinger is to Texas FB, if he starts the entire season you're looking at 3-5 losses depending on breaks, injuries etc

Really not understanding the dismissal of Trask on this board beyond the "LOL he was a backup in high school" stuff. He was the best QB in the conference this year not named Burrow or Tua

Trask is a redshirt senior and has the #3 SEC Total QBR -- only behind Burrow (gone) and Tua (gone). We just got a few receivers back that we thought were 100% done for, our best receiver/tight end (Kyle Pitts) and are probably retaining our entire offensive-line along with having a pretty dynamic running back corps.
Defense we'll have to see, one of the top sackers on our defense was a true freshman -- but I like where we are right now. We're waiting for a 5-star WR transfer from Pennsylvania (rumored) but either way we have a lot of firepower coming back and Trask will finally get 100% of Mullen's attention for an entire off-season.
If he was that good with no running game, I can only imagine what he'll be able to do with real experience + staff attention that was previously dedicated wholly to Franks.

Bama's WRs are very good, no argument. Mac Jones wasn't really pushing the ball down field often but still averaged over 10 Y/A because Alabama has the best weapons in the country.
That said, Florida doesn't play Bama in 2020 and might not need to play Bama in order to make the CFP
