It's funny that 1978 is the one pre-BCS championship we get credit for(as someone has likely mentioned by now, the BCS started in 1992, it wasn't until later that the Pac12 and Big10 joined and made "official")
That is the one we split with USC, even though USC beat us at the start of the year. USC fans are always quick to point it out.
I of course point out beating #1 at the end of the year, but they always talk about the head to head.

When LSU played oklahoma in 2003, Oklahoma indeed was the #1 team, but LSU was rankde #3, so by your rules/Logic LSU cannot claim their 2003 championship. The 2003 game cannot qualify for a championship.

So every football season from 1869-1997 just didn't happen? All those games, all those seasons were played for nothing. That's the absolute dumbest thing I've read on your website.
