I agree that it is much smaller in number, but their dominance is still impressive and I respect the accomplishments.

College football has been in existence for 130 years or so... we have had no champion for more than 100 of those seasons. As an aside, Notre Dame has no championships, therefore no tradition. Chicken has spoken... it is so

So, let me get this straight, even if you take away 10 of Alabama's titles that you think are questionable, they're still clearly the program with the most titles. Even if you "win" that argument, you still "lose" - it doesn't really make that much of a difference.
That's like the logic of the "scholars" that decided "B.C." and "A.D." weren't politically correct and offensive to other beliefs because they stood for "Before Christ" and "Anno Domini" yet, the new "B.C.E." ("Before Common Era" whatever the hell that's supposed to mean) and "C.E." ("Common Era") dating systems in our textbooks are still based on Christ's life on earth, so what was the friggin point in even changing it, it changes absolutely nothing, it just makes atheists feel better about themselves.
So, go ahead and only give us 6 titles. Whatever makes you sleep better at night. You do that.
