Imagine if OU claimed every nc that OU was crowned instead of only claiming real titles . If it isn’t a NC crowned by atleast half of the publications it does not count …. There is a word for that CONSENSUS national championships .

The number of championships claimed in here keeps climbing. Let this thread go another 50 pages, and Alabama will have 100 championships and Nick Saban will be 6'5" tall.

The number kept climbing because he started this thread in 2013.
Know what's happened since 2013?
Alabama won 3 national titles since 2013. So logically the number grew.
That being said, MY response is the fact that Alabama does not, in fact, claim every title it has been rewarded. If the school did, it would claim over 30 titles because there have been over 30 seasons where someone said Alabama was the best team that season.

Except I never said the claim was for 30; just that they could if they were as liberal about claiming them as everyone implies.
