Evidence has been presented. Mizzou should be excited about Mauk as he had a good campaign but overall, his stats don't quite match up to some of the other returning East QBs. Their homerism knows no bounds.
Also, to the Mizzou fan that brought it up- no shite Shaw will be missed. Hell of a player. But USC should be able to continue its success under Thompson's leadership. Y'all must be pretty obsessed to bring up Shaw in a thread that has nothing to do with him though.

Very, very badly.
And I'll take whichever QB can hand off to this guy the best.

We'll miss him, but luckily we aren't losing a Clowney, Sutton, Hampton, etc along with him.

Luckily our defense is good enough it can afford to lose good players and still play at a high level the next year.
Georgia doesn't have that luxury, y'all sucked on D last year so I'm glad y'all got a bunch of guys coming back. But don't y'all have some suspensions to worry about?

Not those players, it can't. Maybe you'll be back at that level by the end of the year, but I doubt you'll recover from losing the best defensive player you've ever had any time soon. Especially since you've nothing to replace him with.

Wanna bet? The problem wasn't the players last year, it was the coaching. I shudder to think how bad we would have been if we'd had any less raw talent than we do.
Wrong thread for this discussion though.

quote:Dumb. After the 2011 season we lost 5 of our top 7 tacklers including 1st rounders, Melvin Ingram and Stephon Gilmore.

After the 2012 season we lost 7 of our top 10 tacklers including the four top tacklers and all of our LBs. Devin Taylor and DJ Swearinger had good years in the NFL last season as rookies.
This year we lose 4 of our top 10 tacklers.
quote:You talking about Clowney? This board and ESPN told me that he took the year off and was lazy and wasn't very good.
but I doubt you'll recover from losing the best defensive player you've ever had any time soon.

quote:You'll find that just isn't true. We don't have anyone on Clowney's level (obviously) but we have talented guys that got some PT last year.
Especially since you've nothing to replace him with.
