Even after Saban retires from Bama, Bama will be a top program for years.
Look at LSU as an example. LSU had one of the programs best 5 years after Saban left for greener pastures. Les was able to piggy back off of Sabans foundation he laid for success.
As long as the next Coach can come close to sustaining then Bama will be at the top. If Les could do it at Lsu then Bama will be able to; plus Bama has a much greater history of success and will hire a very good Coach after Saban.
The notion that Bama will plummet into obscurity after Saban is nonsense wishful thinking from all the haters.

Saban and Emmert don't have that many years left and Bama will return to its 10 win seasons once every 3 or 4 years.

Well the original comment talked about all the people "fawning" over Smart, which I have yet to see.
It also said he would be a bigger failure than Muschamp which is laughable.
