I have no idea how these rankings work but if you were ranking teams purely by their on the field results strictly at this point, putting LSU at #1 at present is fair.

I always wondered why Billingsly wasn't posted more often. It's by far the most reputable and relevant rankings out there.
As usual, can't argue with that list.

Hell we didn't play bc of a hurricane and moved up a spot. Works for me.

We got hurricane points. Y'all aren't eligible.

We're hosting evacuees so we also got hurricane points in the form of 2 (others receiving votes) via the coaches poll.

Much deserved, Prof. This state and NC are gonna be a mess for quite a while. And the latest Euro forecast ensemble model shows Florence possibly exiting into the Atlantic from the northeastern coast, restrengthening and making a turn right back into the SC coast. Unbelievable.

#7 Notre Dame
#9 Penn State
#16 Michigan
#17 Iowa
#22 Wisconsin
These are at least 5 schools Vanderbilt could beat on a neutral field with fair refs.

I have family in Charleston/Summerville and we vacation near Murrell's Inlet a lot. My family has been very lucky with this hurricane but it's going to wind up being horrible for a lot of people. Hopefully, it doesn't restrenghten and return.

This is the best rankings. Not just because LSU is number 1. Only because on the field we have the best resume.
