Ross you are one of the better posters on this site, you have my condolences.Jump on the LSU wagon and enjoy the ride.

agreed. but ross needs to stay an Auburn fan... realize that all programs do shite LIKE this, but just don't get caught..

in alabama, we get caught for cheating. we're probably all too stupid to do it right. it's a blessing and a curse. but by God winning means more than anything to us, so i mean... we're at least gonna go as fast as everyone else to keep up.

don't abandon your school because it looks negative due to the media. ALL places do this shite.

in all reality, it's stupid that kids can't be paid. there's PLENTY of money for this shite to be regulated.

Slive likes sweeping everything under the rug so nobody gets in trouble. Makes it look like he has things "under control."

As for Oklahoma and Tennessee, they aren't going to go public since none of this involves them. But you can bet they will tell whatever they know if the NCAA (or FBI) gets them behind closed doors, and you won't know about it until the final NCAA report becomes public.

right

theres no reason for tennessee and oklahoma to jump head first into this mess publicly...and thats assuming they were anything more than free trips for newton, which i doubt

LSU isn't that desperate.

I mean...a team where the QB position is the difference between 12-0 or 8-4.

It's just strange that nobody from AU, Oklahoma, Tennessee or any other school that was recruiting Cam have said anything about his dad asking for money.
I strongly doubt any of the named schools wanted the NCAA snooping around. . .

After Newton committed to Auburn, another source said an emotional Cam Newton phoned another recruiter to express regret that he wouldn't be going to Mississippi State, stating that his father, Cecil, had chosen Auburn for him because "the money was too much."

Auburn's guilty - game over.

why would OK and UT come out and admit it? NCAA will blame them for not reporting it

Should the hammer come down, Slive should have the decency to resign after this embarrassment.

Wasn't he the guy who proclaimed that no SEC teams would ever be on probation during his stay as commissioner? Yeah. Right.

Well, I said it a year ago that if Slive was going to do things that way then teams would have no choice but to cheat in order to keep up.

It should be pretty obvious why AU won't come out and say he was seeking money.

Yeah, the NCAA could be asking these schools about solicitation behind closed doors. That's true. I just think they're going to need confirmation from a good source outside of Miss. St.

All the people saying Cecil asked for money being from the same school just looks funny, especially if they're all pissed about losing out on Cam.

I don't want to be associated with a dirty program that would pay 200,000 dollars to secure the signature of one guy.

But if it were two or three it would be ok?
