I would say 99.99% of the population of Louisiana is made up of LSU fans.
That is 4.4-4.6 million people.
I think that alone puts LSU far ahead of Bama. I think that puts them a good bit ahead of Tennessee since I don't think Tennessee has the same culture(it has always appeared to me many people are imported into the state).

Considering UF has by far the largest school enrollment in the most populous state in the conference, I'm going to have to go with UF.
UGA, LSU and Bama follow as far as size of school.

This. Using historical enrollment as a metric of fanbase size (which makes a lot of sense), Florida wins going away. There are a shitton of Gators out there.

LSU, and its not even close. We travel better than anyone in the SEC or the Country for that matter. Just ask Washington or Rosenblatt.....

this however, has nothing to do with the loyalty of the fans or how good of a fanbase they are.

I see LSU fans here in South Africa all the time. I've run into a few Florida fans too but that's it.

I don't think UF has as many die-hard fans as LSU, UA, or UT. They probably do have more overall fans though.

On a completely anecdotal note, I've lived in the Los Angeles area for nearly 10 years and never seen so much as an Alabama hat. I have seen fans from many other SEC schools, though.

Alabama has had enough historical success to have fans all over the southeast and all across the country. Not near ND's level, but you get the idea.
Alabama probably has more fans in Louisiana than Tulane does, more fans in Tennessee than Vandy does, more fans in Georgia than Tech does, etc.

One of my friends ex boyfriends is from Abbeville, and he is an Auburn football fan, and a Kentucky basketball fan.

This has to be a joke. I live in LA and of the few that claim to be LSU fans I've met, I've known more about their actual team than they do, with a few exceptions. In my experience, the Saints are much bigger here than LSU. This really isn't a flame but an honest observation.

Same in Paris. Every time I go anywhere in America though, I see LSU fans. That's how I heard of them and then I became a fan. I know a ton of people from all over the world that like LSU just because they see athletes in the olympics that went there.
