To be factual, the rating numbers for the 2014 game were:
7.4 13.53M 7:45 PM Auburn/Alabama
7.4 13.53M 7:45 PM Auburn/Alabama

Auburn invented pathetic.

I don't care which one is "bigger" but the statement above is false. The IB has mudholed the Game in TV ratings here recently. It is a huge game annually and people from outside our little state do clearly care about it.
Not even close to true. Look at ratings in the state of Alabama, or the southeast in general versus the rest of the country. Outside of this area, no one cares beyond it being another game of over-hyped football. As Alabama continues their decline, this rivalry will fall back to where it belongs.

They made bumper stickers and shirts for beating us in 06.

Of course they did. Auburn has paid for one MNC in the last 30 years, so they have to invent things to celebrate.

MI v OSU is bigger, they have a large advantage on # of alumni and overall population in their states.
The iron bowl has been more important over the past decade, had a 5 year stretch where the winner played for the bcsncg, then the 6th year the winner made the cfpo. This year, if preseason predictions are on point, it should be a huge factor in the cfpo

Auburn's last probation was 1993. How about Ohio State?

I think someone said it best earlier - UM/OSU is wider but AU/UA is deeper. If that makes any sense.

The 3rd highest rated market for the '13 Iron Bowl was Columbus, OH with a 20.1. OSU fans obsessed with the Iron Bowl

since so many people have moved from the hell hole that is the midwest, you find them dispersed throughout the country, everyone you meet in arizona is originally from the midwest, half my neighborhood in texas are Ohioans.
since the average southerner is born lives and dies within a 70 mile radius from his birthplace you don't find southerners dispersed around the nation.
so nationaly the oh/mi game is probably a bigger rivalry.

Bama/Auburn is easily the most heated rivalry in America. I would even rank Bama/Tennessee with the Yankee rivalry.

Murdering family members over a football game doesn't count.

The IB was the only good game on between 2 highly ranked teams during that time slot.

What's pathetic about running one of the cleanest programs in the SEC over the last 20 years? And you never answered my question. If you want to bring up buying players maybe you can address OSU's recent run-in with the NCAA.

The cleanest hooker is still a hooker. Congrats Auburn.

Let's be honest, that's really not something to be bragging about.
