Thanks.
But also thanks for acknowledging that LSU may have benefitted from the same said system in years past.

Andy Staples beat Edwards to the punch to say "look inward for your troubles."
It's not just the fall-apart aspect, but also the fact that Dan Beebe and the rest of the Big 12 rejected the proposal of a plus one format.
What you say today, might come back and bite you in arse tomorrow.

i realize most bama fans simply regurgitate their coach and/or Ad spin and in this case espn as well.
It seems to me that now that bama is in the game they could set aside their bias and see it for what it is. Manipulation.
Show me where it says the 2 best teams are matched in the NC game. You may believe thats the way it should be but no where on the BCS site is it written. FACT
The Sagarin Poll cannot be explained and its math is not published. So is the case with several of the other compute polls.
The voting in the Harris and Coaches is self explanatory.
Sorry Folks, I call it like i see it and so do many others. it is what it is.
Furthermore Never again should any of us in CFB ever have to hear...."Regular season matters" (which is in the BCS site folks)..."Entire body of work". We should now be reduced to the quality of a loss.

Anyone saying Saban is responsible, is an idiot. No need to defend our coach, program, or players. They can only do what the system allows.

That's a bias. To say it's manipulation just because it didn't go the way a lot of people wanted. Especially LSU fans.

Several? Only 2 kept Alabama at #2. Those can be explained by the same concept and argument that boosted the Big 12. South Carolina and Auburn are both mid-tier SEC teams that beat the eventual ACC champ. It boosted the SEC ratings higer in those two computers. Not to mention other games. It's not just who wins but also who loses, who lost to who, and a 1000 other factors.

An Auburn friend of mine brought up an interesting point today. He said that Okie State should be playing LSU and bot Bama. The reasons he stated was that Okie State won their conference without being in a conference championship game. Bama wasn't in a conference championship game either, but since Ga. and LSU played, and LSU won, then since Ga. won their division and played in Atlanta, then it's logical that Ga. is the SEC runnerup since they lost to LSU in the conference championship. Ga. only had one loss, like Bama, until Ga. lost to LSU. If it wasn't for the SEC champ game, Ga. would have as many loses as Bama. I can see his logic plus Saban voted Okie State lower than number three in the coaches poll. Why was Saban allowed to push for Bama's cause while LSU was playing Ga. on ESPN? Why wasn't a representative of Okie State given the same time period? I swear, the Barners in this state are always making sense.

Dont know how you get that I said that from my response.

More facts point to that is was manipulated.

I believe 5 out of six computer polls do not make public the formula they use. you see not everything is bama related if you are objective.
Fact This season has broken the BCS. Do not buy what ESPN is selling. WE need a playoff.

I don't know what's more sad. This original topic. Or that you needed a friend to give it to.

Auburn beat Clemson this year? Good try though.

Yeah I noticed right when I hit submit. My bad, but my overall point still stands.

Auburn did really suck this year.
The computers formulas should be posted though. Massey poll always has Va Tech ranked about 10 spots too high. Sagarin's thinks the Big 12 is fricking awesome. I live in Austin and the Big 12 is sooo overrated every year.

It always is. With the exception of 2005 Texas.

Hey Roll Tide, please list the reasons why my Auburn friend is off on his logic. I bet this is another time when the Barns win the argument the Gumps in this state. For eight months I had to listen to the Gumps complain that the Barns cheated last season. It was never proven that AU cheated but the Gumps will spin this controversy why they are better than Okie State. I hope that LSU beats the hell out of Bama and I would love to see the reasons why little Nickie voted Okie State as low as he did in the coachs poll.

Your Auburn friend is an idiot. UGA had 2 losses going into the SECCG.

I will give you 1 reason and it it easy, but you seem to be many AU fans that do not read.
UGA finished with 3 losses not 2. Even if they did not play LSU they still had 2 losses, UA only has 1. Logic=fail there, Sorry

Fact you are making an assumption to assume that all the polls in OSU's favor are not baised since they are not published. Fact

No we shall now be reduced to counting wins over Sunbelt and Conf USA teams. Because that is what OSU is hanging their head on as part of their body of work and you think. I guess next you will want those 2 conferences to get automatic bids.

Or it would have cleared up the debate that Alabama was the legit opponent for LSU--had OSU lost.

Bama edged Ok State by what like 9 points? Definitely dodged a bullet. Thanks Texas!
