As I pointed out to an OU poster, spread offense do not win national titles. He wanted to show me the 2000 OU and the 2005 Texas teams. However what he failed to add was that both those teams had good to great defenses (the OU defense was the only reason why OU beat FSU in the bowl for the title)

The Big 12 is the only power 5 conference not to have a win in the college football playoffs.
