It would and you’re right. He is a good guy with great character. And I’ve always believed it showed in how our players behave on and off the field.

I want the best for Mike. Especially while he is coaching the Rebs. But the list of Super Regional letdowns has become epic. Texas, Miami, Arizona St., Virginia, Virginia(again), Arkansas and Arizona. Wouldn’t be surprised if I missed some. It’s all become a blur of WAOM.

Only like 3 of these are his “fault.” Arizona/arky/ASU we’re just flat out better teams. If EB makes a play in the Texas series it’s a different story as well.

I’m not sure it’s a fault thing. Like bad mojo or something. But I do question his delays in pitching changes and bunting once per year. But what do I know? Not enough to give advice to Mike.

Majority of ole miss fans blame Mike when it reality it’s not as black and white as they make it out to be. The Virginia series to your point was badly managed but outside of that not a whole lot to gripe about.

So a coach that is in his 22nd season at Ole Miss and has taken them only 1 time to the CWS is going to take LSU in his first season to the CWS? Ok...

Probably win it all to be honest. If key players follow him like they they did with JJ.

You’re correct. And I will add that I graduated from Ole Miss Engineering school in 1995. Basketball was shite and baseball was almost non-existent. Rob Evans was just starting in basketball and Mike came along 5 years later and changed the program. That can’t be discounted.
