I'm going with Tebow. As a leader and competitor he's amazing.
Chad Pennington can only throw the ball 12 yards and he had a good year. I don't see why Tebow couldn't be a good QB in the NFL.

Snead and its not even close...but tebow will find a home in the NFL

Tebow. Also, he will play linebacker. Also, kickoff headhunter. He will go to the Pro Bowl for all three positions.

You don't know anything about football except that Tebow loves
Coach Urban Meyer.
Jevan Snead is the guy we need in our type of offense.
Tim Tebow would be nowhere near as good having to throw the ball 15-30 yards down the field as Snead is.
It would be great to have a leader like tebow, but he's not suited for our playing style.

That's in two years.
They don't keep stats in NCAA to explain why Tebow's numbers are so Gaudy.
You have to look at the level of difficulty the passes this guy is making.
It's just not there.
He's either throwing a screen to Harvin or one of the other ungodly fast Florida skill players or he's throwing a shovel pass to Aaron Hernandez. Florida never has to play from behind, so Tebow's level of difficulty is about on par with Ole Miss's strength of schedule this year.
There is no need to force a throw over the middle when you're up by 30.

Yes being a student at UF means I'm on the bandwagon. You have no basis for claiming Tebow couldn't make throws downfield. You're just another "expert" who still thinks Tebow can't throw. And nice counterpoint, "you don't know anything about football", please enlighten me on what I do and do not know since you're not only an expert yourself, but also know what I personally know concerning football.
And I never actually said Tebow is a better fit than Snead, but you can't support the claim that your offense would literally be worse with Tebow as your QB.

Yes, yes you have Tebow pegged. All UF does is throw screens and shovel-passes. You know, you sound like WRT. An expert who is the only one who "knows" what he's talking about and everyone else is wrong.
If it's so easy to get those gaudy numbers, why don't other QBs have them? Oh, right, it's because Florida's athletes are literally that much better than everyone else's.

It's obviously not all that Florida does, but I would hypotheisize that Florida runs a screen pass/ shovel pass 1 1/2 as much as the next closest team in the SEC does. I'm not saying it's bush league, I'm saying it artificially inflates tim tebow's stats. That's what the spread is all about. That's why Graham Harrell owns all kinds of NCAA passing records and didn't even get drafted.

Well in the case of Ole Miss and Florida, yes.
Your Wide Recievers are alot better than ours.
Tebow is a great college QB, but Jevan Snead is the better prospect plain and simple.

Look at all those screen or shovel passes for TD's. I didnt' see one pass over 10 yards for a TD.

I watched the FSU/UF game from 2008 today (the Monsoon game). I was actually telling myself how well I thought he was throwing the downfield pass. Dink and dunks as well? You bet, but that was more about waht FSU was giving UF than anything. The kid had some touch.

That's it though, I'm not arguing Tebow will be a better NFL QB than Snead, I just don't see how he wouldn't improve pretty much any offense he went to, including Ole Miss.

Tebow is either going to be a monumental bust or a hall of fame QB that revolutionizes the game. Nothing in between.

I wouldnt' call him a bust if no one expects him to do that much.

It's our style of play. It relies entirely on Snead being a fantastic downfield passer.
Anything less and there would be a dropoff.
We'd probably get that back in the type of leadership you get from a player like Tebow, but intangibles are really hard to judge, so as far as on field playing talent. Jevan Snead is a better fit for our Pro stlye offense.
