When did you start watching college football? Serious question. There is literally no way you're questioning the coaching ability of Lou Holtz. He took them from being one of the worst football programs in CFB History, to being competitive in the SEC. His tenure also showed Spurrier it was possible to win at USCe. Holtz completely transformed the USCe program, and that was just his pre-retirement fun. Hall of Famer you're making fun of.

Nutt was better at Arky than holtz was at USC

Not really debatable. Sorry

And Mullen has been faaaaaaaar greater at MSU than holtz was at USC. Sorry

Freezus has been better as well

Sorry

You can if you want. Not really sure I would imo. Franklin didn't have to cheat like Freezus and no one outside of MSU wants Mullen.

Twice. But once because Bama was on probation (not surprising) and the other they backed into it.

Do you have any idea of the shape South Carolina was in when Holtz took over?

Yes

If you put holtz on the good list for the east, then Mullen, nutt, and Freezus need to be on for the west. That is objectively a fact

LSU has had the most consistency of any of those teams, since 2000.

It's definitely not Auburn. Two losing seasons, and a lot of 8-win seasons.

It's probably LSU. But it was Florida before they started being meh post Urban. 2012 seems like an outlier season since then.

Petrino sucks arse. He hasn't won shite in over a decade. His biggest (and only) accomplishments as a head coach are 1 CUSA title and 1 Big East title.

Coach before holtz

23-32

Holtz

33-37

Coach before Nutt

26-30

Nutt

75-46

Coach before Mullen

21-38

Mullen

61-42

Any questions class?

Not Nutt. Not even close.

Not Freeze. He cheated his arse off and still couldn't even win his division.

Mullen is arguable considering where State was before. But his "success" is diluted by the most shameful cowardice scheduling I've ever seen.

Holtz:
- 1 National Title
- 2 major conference championships (3 overall) despite spending 10 seasons at independent Notre Dame
- 2 time national coach of the year
- 1 time SEC coach of the year
- 249-132-7 (.651)

Houston Nutt:
-biggest accomplishment is winning the Ohio Valley Conference

You're putting Nutt as a "good" coach based solely off what he did at Arkansas? You have to include his stint at Ole Miss too. Holtz's career overall shits on Nutt's, and all things considered the job he did at South Carolina was borderline miraculous.

So in that span, LSU has:

- most wins
- best win %
- most SEC titles
- tied most national titles
- most national title appearances
- head to head over BOTH teams
- most bowls
- most draft picks

And LSU fans are being homers by picking LSU?

What in the frick...

ETA:

This is seriously not a debate

I'm picking LSU. I'd rather have consistency, than ride a roller coaster like Auburn. Or even Florida to an extent.
