It's time we stop saying best SEC team and just say best team in the nation. Our pitching is Elite and will carry us if bats cool off at any point. We have a legit shot of winning our first natty in baseball if we can stay healthy

By 3 games.

So...our rightful place is ahead of Tennessee. Thanks for confirming.

Read this sentence 3 times. All 3 I came away with "fat checker"... which Tenner does on the regular from Fat Phil to the Hippo.

Thank you for making me laugh out loud!

188 HRs in 70 games. That's 2.44 HRs per game

Right and Tennessee didn’t benefit from starting to play UGA annually in the 90s which is Tennessee’s best and UGA’s worst decade in the modern era. And you still trail in the series. We’ve also never gone 23 years without winning the SEC….and the Vols are a LONG way from winning in Atlanta anytime soon.

At only 2.64 HRs per game which is much lower than 2.44

Well first, 69/28 is not 2.64, it's 2.46. And 188/70 is not 2.44, it's 2.68.Tennessee’s HR rate has also dropped a lot since SEC play began. They’re not even leading the SEC in HRs in conference games. They’re actually tied w/ LSU right now with 18. And that’s with a 5 HR game against Ole Miss.

For instance, Arkansas led the SEC in HRs last year with 109. They hit 65 in 33 non-SEC games (1.96/gm). They hit 44 in 30 SEC games (1.46/gm). In 1997, LSU had hit 80 HRs through 28 games (2.85/gm). So no, Tennessee is not on pace to break the home run record. LSU amassed that record through an entire season. Just like everyone else, their HR/gm average dropped once conference play began

Can you imagine how it is when they are good in football.

Not really, no. I've got a pretty good imagination, but that one is beyond my reach.

Wrong! It took UT worse 20 year span in history for UGA to only pull 3 games ahead.
