The fifth grade educated bama fan stated "Derrick Henry holds the SEC rushing record".
Anyone with at least a sixth grade education would understand 'career' rushing yards, not single season. When looking at single season totals, Georgia only played 12 games in 1981 vs 15 games Alabama played in 2015. Also you didn't count the stats from Georgia's bowl game but you did count Alabama's stats.
Plus they both played 3 seasons and Herschel has greater than a thousand yards more than Henry.
Today is the first time I've ever heard anyone think the "SEC Rushing Record" was a career stat, rather than single season.
As for games played, Henry broke the record before the season was over, and he did it in less carries.

Walker in the modern era...not close.

Why add McFadden? He clearly never did anything to merit mention… I can’t believe how many people on here are unwilling to acknowledge that he is absolutely a top 5-10 best ever running back in the SEC. The dude was a two time Heisman Runner Up (should’ve won over Troy Smith) and two time Doak Walker award winner in addition to his stats and being run into the dirt by Nutt.

He'd be playing against much tougher competition in today's SEC.

I consider him top5.

He definitely is. I’d challenge anyone who doesn’t think so to compare game video/highlight reels and couple that with knowing that Houston Nutt was his coach.

Herschel Walker or Bo.
This^^^. Those 2 did it when defenses knew the run was coming 60 to 70% of the time.
While Derrick Henry is incredible and in the discussion, defenses couldn’t key on him due to more prolific passing offenses.

Agree on that. I’d put McFadden with them but slightly behind for obvious reasons, but EVERYONE knew we were running and it was him 60%-70% of the time no matter where he lined up.

Bo, Herschel and Henry
Are the three best RB’s that played in the SEC.

McFadden was incredible and was hurt playing with an inferior program like Arkansas.

You do realize he had Jake Coker as his QB right? The year before that, it was Blake Sims. His Freshman year it was AJ, but he didn't get many carry's.
Sims was cut by the CFL after 1 week. Coker made it a little further, he wasn't drafted, but signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent and lasted almost 2 months before getting cut on the 75 man roster(long before the final cut).

I've never heard Blake Sims and Jacob Coker described as prolific passers. Congrats on being the first, i guess.

1,000 of those yards came in one game vs South Carolina it feels like

He was literally playing hurt. Not acknowledging the dig.

Darren McFadden son. Don’t leave him off because you can’t stand way hogs did you horns this year.

Just 321 rushing and over 40 passing. That was one of the most fun games ever because it turned into NCAA XBox. McFadden imposed his will in that one.

Walker
Bo
McFadden
Henry
All have an argument with moments of sheer greatness even opposing fans had to appreciate.
If you weren't able to see their games and have only seen the highlight reels, your vote doesn't count. None of their highlight reels do them justice.
It was the plays between the TDs & big yardage that made them great. You knew they were getting the ball and had a pretty damn good idea which side it was coming from... and they still came, then got up the next play & the next until the battering ram finally broke through and gave us a highlight to argue greatness.
