frick no. shite's nasty. Last time I ate there I ended up with Food Poisoning. And that's been within the past 4 months.
Place consistently has a health rating in the upper 80's/low 90's.
Momma G's, and then either Niffer's or one of our BBQ places, although they don't compare to Archibald's in T-Town. I feel like I'm leaving someplace out in Auburn though.

the swamp restaurant is a real cool atmosphere and place to eat...but food is overpriced and not all that great...mothers pub is a great place to watch the game and grab a burger..cheap also

Couldn't agree more. Like I said on the other page we had a Cheeburger cheeburger in Collierville TN and I ate there twice and that's it. No way that crap is worth the price they charge.

On game day in Knoxville I will take a lot of tailgates over any restaurant or bar in town.

You can get a better Burger at a place that doesn't specialize in Burgers anywhere.

Archibald's is the best BBQ in Tuscaloosa, for the most part Tuscaloosa is pretty awful for restaurants though. Dreamland's declined. Chuck's fish isn't bad. Obviously there are some chain places but kind of pointless to single those out.
Fayetteville's decent. Catfish Hole wasn't as good as everyone made it out to be. There's a Thai place on Dickson which is good but can't remember the name of it, think it maybe just called Bangkok or something like that. Doe's is well known but is kind of average. Emilia's is crap. Whole Hog Cafe was pretty good.

Overrated IMO. Taylor Grocery has the best atmosphere. City Grocery has the best food, but thats just my opinion

In Oxford I would go for Ajax, 208, City Grocery or Boure'.
All of these are on the square.
Square pizza is a good place too because it isn't very popular, and thus is a place to get good service on gameday.
If you're making it a weekend. Yocona river inn and Taylor Grocery in the county are must do's.

Better on the day after. A number 1 and a Varsity Orange will cure a hangover

Is great on the way to the bar after the game.

I'm glad no one has said Dreamland. I hate when ESPN comes to Tuscaloosa and inevitably sends someone to Dreamland to eat. They act like the people that live in T-Town are obsessed with the place. Nobody I know ever eats there. It's average at best.

Dreamland's was great at one point, living off reputation now and I'm sure they love ESPN's seeming obsession with them, sure they get a lot of visiting fans who just feel like they have to try it.

The original is good, the new one on the river is terrible.
Maggies for lunch is the best soul/country food you can get.
